Privacy Policy
Last updated June 16, 2026
This policy explains what data The Gati (Gati Media, LLC) collects, why, and what choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Newsletter / account data: if you subscribe, your email address (and name, if you provide it). This is stored by our publishing platform (Ghost) to send the emails you asked for.
- Usage data: aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics (pages viewed, referrer, rough region). We do not build advertising profiles.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP, user agent) for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To send the newsletters you subscribed to and manage your account.
- To understand, in aggregate, what content is useful and improve the site.
- To keep the Service secure and operational.
We do not sell your personal data.
Service providers
We rely on third parties to run the Service — for example our publishing platform (Ghost), our email-sending provider, and our analytics provider. They process data only to provide those services to us. News content on the site is sourced via third-party providers; that involves news metadata, not your personal data.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies/local storage for things like your theme preference and saved takes (stored in your browser) and, if you have an account, to keep you signed in. We don’t use third-party advertising cookies.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email via its footer link, anytime.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us.
- Clear cookies/local storage in your browser to reset preferences and saved takes.
Data retention
We keep subscriber data for as long as you’re subscribed, and delete it on request. Aggregate analytics are retained without identifying you.
Changes
We’ll update this policy as needed; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
